The 2-piece standard snare wire set for a 14 Inches premier ace snare drum has two separate snare wire units of 8 strands each, each with an overall length of 15 5/8 Inches, and a strand length of 15 1/8 Inches (including the soldered area on each end-clip). Both ends of each unit have a hook shaped clip that attaches to the strainer and butt ends of the tension mechanism on the snare drum. Puresound's vintage series snare wires are designed not only to replace worn and no longer available wires on vintage snares, they are also designed to enhance the performance of those classic drums.
